Who Can Play Junior Wheelchair Rugby?
Junior Wheelchair Rugby is a mixed gender sport, open to children and teenagers aged 6 to 18, living with any permanent physical disability.
They do not need to be a full time wheelchair user to play.

at Gateshead Leisure Centre
6.30pm to 8.00pm
All equipment is provided
First four training sessions are free

How Can My Child Get Involved?
New players are always welcome. The team is friendly and welcoming.
Register your interest so we can arrange a time to discuss any individual needs prior to your first session and send you a link to the parent/carer player consent form.
All equipment is provided. However, some players like to bring their own gloves.
We meet at 6.30pm to get the juniors into the chairs. 7pm-8pm on court, training with the coach,
The first four training sessions are free. Following that, Newcastle Wheelchair Rugby Club Junior subs are £15 per month. Plus an annual fee for GBWR membership, for more information click here.

Junior Wheelchair Rugby is an exciting contact sport which is great fun to play!
It gives children and teenagers who have a physical disability the opportunity to be part of a team sport.
It can improve their physical fitness, teamwork skills and confidence.
Whether your child has their sights set on the Paralympics, or if they would just like to take part in an inclusive, friendly and enjoyable sport, Junior Wheelchair Rugby is a perfect fit!
